A couple of years ago at the ripe age of 28, after the breakdown of my marriage, I started to journal. I filled that journal with pages of quotes, daily thoughts, promises to myself and of course, letters to G-d. Since then, I have not stopped writing, only this time, within the past three years to be exact, I finally mustered the courage to let whatever was in my heart jump off the page to be shared with tens of thousands across the world. It started with my very first piece of How To Love a Pisces, http://www.elephantjournal.com/2014/05/how-to-love-a-pisces-shari-tischler/, to my most recent work featured in The Good Men Project; http://goodmenproject.com/featured-content/the-truth-about-how-men-and-women-love-differently-in-their-30s-dg/.

Now I felt it was time to venture out, because after all, life begins where our comfort zone ends. Eventually, we all grow, we dream big, and we learn how to step outside that familiar space. It is there where the true journey begins. And that is exactly what this blog is about. It is a continuation of my work, in the hopes that it will inspire others who come across this page to keep learning, and to keep striving to be their best self, even when life beats them down. It is my story, but it is also yours. The ones that you have lived but been afraid to tell. The loves that you have lost, but have yet to grieve about. The trips you took which revealed to you what it was like to love yourself all over again. The friends who pick you up and love you through your worst, and who never fail to remind you that it is never too late to start over. It is life, and the crazy journey we take everyday which we will live to tell our children about. It’s about growing, loving, and taking risks, while never looking back. Thank you all for being a part of my journey.

I hope you enjoy the ride.
